Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is an in-demand player this summer as he is already attracting interest from a couple of clubs. The Chelsea star was sent out on loan last season after it was certain that he would not be getting enough playing time at Stamford Bridge, so all the parties involved believed that spending time out on loan would be the best option.
Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be interested in working with the midfielder again after the pair met for the first time at Chelsea. Italian manager Sarri, who was recently announced by Italian Serie A side Lazio as their new boss is reportedly keen to take Loftus-Cheek to Italy on loan as he sees some potential in the Blues player.
Sarri is keen to sign the midfielder on a season-long loan initially but would be interested in including a clause in the deal that would see the player sign a permanent contract at the club as long as he is able to make the manager proud.
Greek club AEK Athens were said to be keen on signing Loftus-Cheek as well but those reports surfaced two weeks ago and they have disappeared from the horizon recently. Sarri will bank on his relationship with the London club as a key factor that could facilitate the signing.
